Intended use

medidux™ is a software application that enables doctors, especially oncologists, and nurses to monitor the progression of symptoms in patients undergoing, for example, systemic cancer treatment.

• medidux™ creates progression charts based on patient input and alerts patients to contact their physicians/oncologists if symptoms fall outside the acceptable range defined by the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE) standards. Patient entries include symptoms, well-being and parameters such as body weight, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, blood glucose level and adverse events.
• medidux™ provides tips for measures patients can take themselves, based on the guidelines of the Cancer League Germany/Switzerland (self-empowerment).
• medidux™ improves communication between patients and doctors through the structured and standardised recording of Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs).
• medidux™ improves the well-being of patients in terms of activities of daily living (ECOG scale).
• medidux™ offers a cognitive test that gives an indication of the patient’s cognitive state.
